Morgen Baird to make his XFINITY Series Debut at Richmond

Morgen Baird, who most recently drove the No. 11 for Fast Track Racing in the ARCA Menards Series, will make his XFINITY Series debut at Richmond on March 30th for JD Motorsports in their No. 6 Chevrolet Camaro, as confirmed by the most recent move on the entry list on March 27th.

Baird has 13 ARCA Menards series starts, with three top 10s all coming at Michigan with Fast Track Racing. He will be getting sponsorship from a long-time partner, Long Drink, an alcoholic beverage company out of Finland that recently came to the US and has partnered with Baird on his ARCA Menards Series car and UMP Modified, which he has also seen success in.

Bairds has raced in the ARCA Menards Series since 2016, racing off and on in the national series with multiple teams, the most recent being Fast Track, with whom he has run six of his last 7 starts at his home track of Michigan.  Baird also attempted a race in 2022 for Venturini Motorsports at Toledo, where he finished 24th, as he did not start the race.

Baird joins JD Motorsports’ #6 Chevrolet Camaro, which, in five races, had such drivers as Garrett Smithley and Ty Dillon. Baird replaced Ty Dillon, who ran at COTA, finishing 37th with suspension issues. The 6 car is 34th in owner’s points so far.  Baird would not have to worry about qualifying, as the 66 withdrew earlier on in the day.

  1. UPDATE- Baird will not be racing at Richmond due to a family emergency.

Garrett Snithley will take his place. Baird is planning on another race for JDM later on in the season- still sponsored by Long Drink.
