Q&A With Kyle Vallejos

Q. Can you give us your name, age, and where you’re from?

A. My name is Kyle Vallejos. I am 31 from Farmington, New Mexico and I currently live in Moriarty, New Mexico.

Q. How did you get into racing?

A. I started as a fan, watching NASCAR when I was 3 years old. My dad left it on the TV. I thought that was just the coolest thing ever, to watch the NASCAR. I didn’t get to start actually racing till I was about 15. I had to get a job and save up some money. I eventually bought myself a Yamaha KT100 dirt kart; that’s how it all started.

Q. What series are you in?

A. I currently race in a class called Spec Miata. I’ve also tested in ARCA and hope to run some races.

Q. What ARCA experience do you have?

A. Last year I got to test with Rise Motorsports I also got my NASCAR license. I’m currently trying to get the sponsorship to run some races. Last year, I met Jonathan Reaume with Strike Mamba Racing and helped him out at Phoenix. I’m actually going to help him out again at Tucson in a couple of weeks. We’re working together trying to see if we can put some races together. In the meantime, I’m just helping them out as a crew member.
