The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series goes to Belgium this weekend, for the final round of the season. Four drivers are in position to win the title in both EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2.
After five rounds packed of action and pure racing, the european series closes its 2023 championship in Circuit Zolder, Belgium. The season featured a total of 20 races (four races per each weekend) around five countries: Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, Czech Republic and Germany. The final battle of the calendar will take place this weekend, october 14 & 15, on Circuit Zolder where drivers will face one of the most challenging tracks, with fast sections and elevation changes.
The ‘’EuroNASCAR Finals’’ will have four races to Crown the new champions and these are the title contenders:
-EuroNASCAR PRO: italian drivers Gianmarco Ercoli and Vittorio Ghirelli, are positioned in first and second place of the championship, only separated by 4 points. Frenchman Lucas Lasserre is in third position and the two-time NWES champion and local hero for this race, Anthony Kumpen, is in fourth position 23 points behind the leader.
-EuroNASCAR 2: the cypriot Vladimiros Tziortzis leads the season but italian driver Alberto Naska is only three points behind. Paul Jouffreau is also very close to them as he sits third, four points behind the leader. Fourth position is for the local, Gil Linster, who scored eight Top 5 and nine Top 10 but is yet to win.
The NASCAR Truck series regular Ryan Vargas is set to return after his debut last month. Also the experencied and local driver Marc Goossens is back for his home race.
