We have a special 1-on-1 10 Question Q&A with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver for SS Greenlight Racing: Mason Massey!

Massey is a 26-year-old NASCAR Driver from Georgia has completed in the Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series since 2019.
In 2023 he was signed with Reaume Brothers Racing for the full season but after 7 races in he would leave the team on his own terms and has raced in 5 NXS events since then with SS Greenlight Racing getting a Top 10 finish at Loudon and unfortunately suffered a DNQ with Alpha Prime Racing at Michigan.
Here’s our Q&A with Mason and we hope y’all enjoy!!!
1. What are your favorite hobbies outside of the racing world?
MM: “Golfing and fitness.”
2. What is your favorite racing memory?
MM: “Finishing 6th at Atlanta last year was cool, another one was winning the Alabama 200.”
3. What is your pre-race routine like or favorite pre-race activities before a race?
MM: “Normally just eat subway, watch a little smt in the lounge, and hydrate and stay cool until race time.”
4. Who was your racing idol growing up?
MM: “My two favorites were Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson.”
5. You recently gained a lot of attention because of your story about your stutter, what do you think of all the recent fame and respect you’ve gained from nascar fans?
MM: “It’s been great, I’ve gotten a lot of support and tons of messages from people who stutter.”
6. If you could have 1 sponsor onboard for a race, who would it be and why?
MM: “Chick-fil-a. Hopefully free chicken comes along with that.”
7. If you could make a race track and had an unlimited budget, what would you name the track and what type of track would it be?
MM: “Massey Motorplex. It would be about a mile, and super old worn out asphalt. Flat corners.”
8. What has been your favorite moment from this year as a driver from your prospective?
MM: “As a driver the most fun I’ve had this year is Kansas. Car was driving really good and I could go anywhere I wanted on the track.”
9. Have you had a favorite teammate or rival to race against?
MM: “I’ve had a ton of teammates in my short nascar career. I just like when we can push each other and make each other better.”
10. What are your racing goals this year or for 2024?
MM: “Hoping to have something to announce soon, but really just want to get more top 10’s, and hopefully even better than that.”
