JR Motorsports driver Justin Allgaier won tonight’s Dead on Tools 250 at Martinsville Speedway after a havoc of an overtime restart which saw RCR Teammates, Sheldon Creed and Austin Hill, getting into it on the final lap and Allgaier stealing the win at the line from Creed by 0.032 of a second.

Austin Hill was not happy afterwards as he went by the RCR #2 box clapping his hands and in his post race interview leaking Creed’s 2024 plans saying “I cannot wait for him for him to leave RCR and move over to Joe Gibbs Racing and for Jesse Love to be my teammate so I don’t have to deal with this shit no more.”
Sheldon Creed has been rumored for a couple weeks after Joe Gibbs Racing bought out the contract of Kaulig Racing driver Chandler Smith reporting that they’ll also be looking at Creed to join their 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series lineup.
“I’m so happy to be going where I’m going” said Creed afterwards stating that this track always leads to just dirty racing and he’s going to give it his all at Phoenix and leave it all on the table.
This race also set the scene for the Final 4 which leads: Cole Custer, Sam Mayer, Justin Allgaier and John Hunter Nemechek all battling it out next year for their shot of a prestigious championship.
John Hunter Nemechek was able to lock in after Stage 2 and didn’t have to worry about anything else meanwhile the same couldn’t be said for Cole Custer who’s car was absolutely destroyed in that last lap wreck.
Custer was able to drive across the finish line backwards and was able to just sneak into the Final 4 while on fire.
The race ended after 2 hours and 46 minutes while having 15 cautions for 101 laps. Mind you the record for most cautions at an NXS race at Martinsville is 19 which was set here in early 2000’s.
Will Sheldon Creed and Austin Hill continue to butt heads? Which one of the Final 4 will win their 1st NXS Championship?
We’ll find out next week at Phoenix Raceway for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race. Take care.
