SRX Racing Announces One of its 2024 Locations

The SRX Racing Series will make its fifth appearance at Connecticut’s Stafford Speedway when the 2024 season opens at the historic short track on July 11th. Series and track officials recently announced that Stafford will once again kick off the six-race summer series.

“This is a testament to the Northeast race fans,” said Stafford Speedway CEO Mark Arute. “We were honored to host the SRX series the first time in 2021, now we are on SRX’s fifth visit to Stafford. Our fans continue to show how much they love short track racing.”

The series debuted at Stafford in 2021 with local hero Doug Coby scoring the upset victory. Ryan Newman won the next two SRX races held at the track in 2022 and 2023, with Denny Hamlin also notching a Stafford win last season.

SRX CEO Don Hawk cited the Arute family’s commitment to putting on a first-class racing event and the passionate New England fans as reasons for returning to Stafford for a fifth time.

Past years have seen packed grandstands and an electric atmosphere for the SRX series’ annual stop at Stafford Springs. The track and the series hope to deliver more of the same short track excitement when the stars of racing converge next July.

With a history of dramatic finishes and surprise winners, the 2024 edition figures to produce more unpredictable action. Stafford Speedway has cemented itself as an anchor venue for the burgeoning SRX series thanks to a welcoming fanbase that lives and breathes short track racing.
