A.J. Allmendinger is now a three-time Cup Series winner, Champ Car champion, Rolex 24 Champion, and a two-time Xfinity Series Regular Season Champion. What he does not, however, possess is a NASCAR Championship, and in 2024 he will chase one again for Kaulig Racing.
A.J. Allmendinger will be returning to a familiar place in the 2024 season, the Kaulig Racing No. 16 Xfinity Series Camaro. A.J. has amassed an amazing 17 Xfinity Series victories, with 15 coming since joining forces with Kaulig Racing in 2019. 13 of those victories have come since 2020, when A.J. and Kaulig went full-time in the Xfinity Series. Since 2020, he has also become one of the winningest drivers in all of NASCAR in those 3 seasons, only losing out to the likes of Kyle Larson.
A.J. and Kaulig’s 2024 plans were speculative, but many of the A.J. loyalists got a glimmer of hope he would return to the 16 in Cup after winning at the Roval in the Playoffs. Chris Rice even said that they know who they want in that car.
In 2024, A.J. and the Kaulig 16 crew will once again go trophy hunting, and for the 3rd time, they will be hunting that big trophy at the end of the season.
