The grandson of 7-Time Champion Richard Petty, Thad Moffitt, will be driving full-time and running for Rookie of the Year in the #46 Chevrolet RST Silverado for Faction46.
Faction46 is a new NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team owned by Lane Moore, who co-owned Veer Motorsports last year in the ARCA Menards Series. The team will be based in Salisbury, NC, running out of Niece Motorsports shop as well as having a technical alliance with the team.
Moffitt has made 4 truck starts for Reaume Brothers Racing and Youngs Motorsports in 2022 as well as running multiple seasons in the ARCA Menards Series for DGR Crosley (now Tricon Garage) as well as Empire Racing and Ferrier-McClure Racing since 2017, scoring a best finish of 4th in points in 2021 running 16 out of the 20 races on the schedule with 5 Top 5’s and 12 Top 10’s.
This will be Moffitt’s first full-time season in a NASCAR-sanctioned series since ARCA in 2021
Customers Bank will serve as the primary sponsor for Daytona, with associates being TastyDuck.com, Pristine Auction, Induction Innovations, and Petty’s Garage.
Moffitt will hit the track for the team’s debut on February 16th at Daytona for the Fresh From Florida 250.
