Brayton Laster joining TC Motorsports for ARCA Season Opener at Daytona

Greenwood, IN, January 2nd, 2024 – Brayton Laster will return to the ARCA Menards Series for the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, driving for the family-owned Terry Carroll Motorsports.

The 21-year-old driver from Greenwood, Indiana, will pilot the organization’s No. 91 Toyota Camry in the ARCA Daytona 200 on Saturday, February 17th.

“Three years ago, I never thought there would be a remote possibility I would even be
competing anywhere near this level,” said Laster. “Now we’re getting ready to go down there for our third time in a row. We’ve gained a lot of experience these past couple of years, and now we are ready to put it all together with a new team.”

Terry Carroll Motorsports, also known as TC Motorsports, has competed part-time in the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 2022, primarily with driver Justin Carroll.

The team, which previously competed on the ARCA Menards Series platform as recently as
2022, is looking to return to ARCA competition this season. This will be the team’s first trip to Daytona International Speedway.

TC Motorsports, owned by Terry Carroll, competed regularly in the ARCA Menards Series East from 2015 to 2022, highlighted by a runner-up finish at South Boston Speedway in 2018. The team ran the full East Series schedule in 2020, with driver Justin Carroll finishing sixth in the season-long standings.

“We are really excited to go to Daytona with Brayton. We think with his experience there, we should be able to have a good run,” said Justin Carroll, team manager of TC Motorsports. “We are looking forward to forming the relationship and advancing our program.”

This will be Laster’s third consecutive season competing at Daytona International Speedway. He has become a familiar face on the ARCA Menards Series platform since making his debut at Daytona in 2022 with Mullins Racing.

He has nine ARCA Menards Series starts, three with Mullins Racing, three with Fast Track Racing, and three with Rise Motorsports. He earned three top-10 finishes in 2023, all while driving for Rise Motorsports. He also made his ARCA Menards Series East debut at Nashville Fairgrounds in 2023 with Fast Track Racing.

Laster has been racing for more than 13 years, primarily at short tracks in Indiana and the Midwest. Nothing has ever stopped him from hopping behind the wheel of anything with an engine.

“I grew up in go-karts and moved to full-size stock cars at the age of 12. My family and I worked on a 1977 Ford Thunderbird out of our little garage, and I was out here racing against guys three, four, and even five times my age,” Laster said. “I quickly fell in love with Figure-8 racing. Racing Outlaw Figure-8 Late Models for a variety of years helped build a skillset suited for superspeedway racing that I did not even think would come in handy. I even raced a full-sized school bus in a Figure-8 race a couple of years ago.

“When I am not racing ARCA or helping out a variety of teams in the garage area, I am normally off racing something. I run Super Dirt Late Models all over the Midwest with a variety of series and tracks. I have been doing the dirt stuff since 2018, and then this ARCA thing kind of took off, which I won’t complain about at all.”

Passionately known as ‘The Pizza Man’ by fans, Laster can typically be found wearing his pepperoni pizza hat or while piloting the car wearing his signature pepperoni pizza-inspired racing helmet.

The team’s primary sponsorship efforts will be announced later. Long time partners
JunkcarBlaster.com, AC-Cages.com, Drive For Humanity, Running’s Racing’s Designs, and
AutoRepairVINStickers.com will be riding onboard. Fans can take advantage of Laster’s “Mom & Pop Shop Sponsorship Deal” to get their logo on the rear decklid of the car in a 3” x 3” area or a 6” x 6” for $100 or $250, respectively.

Robert Bruce, who was Laster’s crew chief while at Mullins Racing, will join him at TC
Motorsports when the team heads to Daytona International Speedway to compete in February.
