After the historic ”King Taco La Batalla en el Coliseo”, we take a look at the 2024 season of the Mexican series.
The NASCAR Mexico Series raced in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum for the first time, sharing the race weekend with the NASCAR Cup Series’ Clash. The race winner was Daniel Suárez, former NMS driver and current Trackhouse Racing driver, who managed to make a clean race and be in a good position for the last laps. The drivers that were dominating almost all the race, Abraham Calderón and Rubén Garcia Jr., suffered problems and fell down in the standings. The 150-lap race delivered adrenaline and emotion until the end, with a lot of overtakes and late restarts.
This exhibition race served as the first taste of the year: the regular season is set to start on March 23rd & 24th in the San Luis Potosí Oval. The championship will have twelve rounds all around Mexico, mixing ovals and road courses.
