Ty Majeski with a new track record of 19.417 seconds scores the Pole for the Craftsman Truck Series Long John Silver’s 200 at Martinsville Speedway tonight.
Layne Riggs broke the record with 19.502 seconds over Joey Logano’s time from way back in 2015. Only a few runs later, Christian Eckes went on to break that record with a 19.437 second lap. That just wasn’t good enough to keep the Pole for Christian as short track ace Ty Majeski would go on in his second lap to beat Eckes by .020 seconds to earn the Pole.
