Following Stewart-Haas Racing’s shuttering at the end of the 2024 season, Front Row Motorsports and its owner, Bob Jenkins, have now officially announced that they will field three fully chartered NASCAR Cup Series teams in 2025.
It has not been made clear where they are getting the charter yet as NASCAR has put the sale and transfer of charters on hold until the new charter agreement has been signed. But the timing of this does not seem coincidence. I expect that the charter agreement has already been signed and it is assumed that they may have gotten the charter from the now-closed SHR. The fact that FRM would be getting a charter was one of the worst-kept secrets in the garage area.
When it comes to drivers, Todd Gilliland is expected to keep his spot in the 38 car. The driver of the 34 and not yet numbered 3rd car has yet to be announced. We can likely expect one, if not both, rides to be filled by the now former SHR drivers.
Team owner Bob Jenkins said, “We have a very positive outlook on the future of NASCAR, and as the sport plans for success, so do we.” “I always have the vision to continue to grow and improve our team, and that commitment and desire never changes.”
Front Row will continue its Craftsman Truck Series program.
