McLaren F1 team’s history of F1 is long and Iconic. The historic Papaya color returned to the team in 2018 and in 2024 finally returned to the forefront as Constructors World Champions, their first world title since 2008.

100th Win

The oldest team in NASCAR, Wood Brothers Racing returned to Victory Lane was captured by our very own Cody Wansley under the lights at Daytona for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 with young Harrison Burton behind the wheel to win the team’s 100th Cup race.

Winless for the First Time

Kyle Busch is without a doubt one of the best to ever run in NASCAR. His record speaks for itself, 63 Cup wins with over 230 combined series wins. Coming into the 2024 season, Busch had won a race every season since his rookie debut in 2005. However, 2024 marks the first season in the future Hall of Famer’s career where he did not visit Victory Lane in the NASCAR Cup Series.

AMG Bids Farwell to Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton joined Mercedes-AMG in the 2013 season where he and the team went on for 6 World Titles and 84 Grand Prix wins. However, 2024 marked the end of one of the most legendary partnerships in all of motorsports with Hamilton moving to Ferrari in 2025.

Max Verstappen Goes 4 in a Row

Max Verstappen and Oracle Red Bull Racing sealed their fourth consecutive Drivers World Championship in 2024 following the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The team and driver combo led to 9 Grand Prix victories in 2024.

3 Titles in a Row for Penske

Joey Logano won his third Cup Series Championship in 2024 ahead of his teammate and defending Champion, Ryan Blaney. In the closing laps of the season finale at Phoenix, it was obvious that “The Captain”, Rodger Penske would have his third title in a row. Logano won in 2022, Blaney in 2023 and Logano held off Blaney to win the third for Penske in 2024.

Finally a Champion

Solidly the 10th winningest driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with 25 career wins, Justin Allgaier was missing one key piece of the racing puzzle. A Championship. At the end of Saturday night in Phoenix, he did it! After 13 full-time seasons in Xfinity, Allgaier became a NASCAR Champion!

Newgarden Wins 2 in a Row at Indy

Josef Newgarden coming into the 2023 season had never finished better than 3rd in the Indy 500, in fact, he had an average finish of 14.18. The Tennessee native broke that when he won the race in 2023, then in 2024, he became the first driver to win back-to-back since Helio Castroneves did so in 2001/2002.

The Closest Finish in NASCAR Cup Series History

The Spring Kansas race had the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history. Four cars had a legitimate shot to win as they came out of Turn 4. But Chris Buescher and Kyle Larson came to the stripe with a separation of 0.001 seconds although Kyle Larson would cross the line first.
