Frankie Muniz started his first full-time Craftsman Truck Series season with a tenth-place finish at Daytona. Since then, his season has been plagued with disappointment and mechanical issues week after week. I spoke with Frankie following the Michigan race last season when he ran ARCA, and I could tell how genuinely he wants this. Frankie has had a love for racing his entire life, and now he’s living it week in and week out. But sadly, not including Daytona, his best finish of the season was a 23rd-place finish at Rockingham.

Muniz would start this afternoon’s 250 scheduled mile race in 25th place. Frankie would survive the big one to restart in P. 5 only to make a huge mistake and shift into 3rd, holding up a hard-charging Carson Hocevar. Despite those two potentially race-ending issues, he would persevere. Through the longest distance run in Craftsman Truck History of 278 miles, Frankie would go on for his second top-15 finish of 2025. He would go on post-race to tell NBC’s Dustin Long, “It’s what I needed to prove to myself that I can compete in this series.”
Frankie has only made previous starts at four upcoming tracks, Kansas, Martinsville, Bristol, and Phoenix in his short career. His best finish in those races was at Bristol with a 31st-place finish.
