“The Concrete Kid” Anthony Macri buzzed the high line around Eldora, kissing the concrete on multiple occasions, all while holding off Rico Abreau, Kyle Larson, and a field full of the best sprint car drivers on the planet to win the 42nd Kings Royal at Eldora on Saturday night. Macri snagged the lead from pole sitter Kasey Jedrzejek on the opening lap and never looked back. Early on, it was Brian Brown who would make attempts to steal the throne, but he would eventually lose 2nd to Rico Abrea and fall to 4th place after being passed by Kyle Larson. Abreau was able to get to within a second of Macri but could not get around the 39M through the 40-lap feature. Abreau, Kyle Larson, Brian Brown, and David Gravel, who started 19th, rounded out the top 5.
