JR Motorsports makes its driver lineup for the 2026 season official in the 1 car.

JR Motorsports made its announcement of Rodney Childers as crew chief of the No. 1 car for the 2026 season. In the same announcement, JR Motorsports made it public that the young phenom Connor Zilisch would field the car part-time alongside his current JRM teammate Carson Kvapil. Connor has a whopping nine victories in 2025, making him the absolute favorite to become the last-ever Xfinity Series Champion before O’Reilly Auto Parts Series takes the title sponsorship in 2026.

It is not yet known if Kvapil will field multiple cars in the series for 2026 or just his part-time stint in the 1 car. On the other hand, Connor Zilisch got his call-up to field one of the three TrackHouse Racing Chevrolet’s in the Cup Series full-time next year. More details will be announced before the start of the 2026 season, including the duo’s track schedule and sponsorship arrangements.
