Scott Haller is living the dream of many NASCAR fans. He’s a business owner who wraps cars for various teams, a 25-year industry veteran, and the operator of a successful TikTok channel.
“When I was 12, I begged my parents for a go-kart. Ran one year in karts, sold that, and moved to modifieds for three years. Sold that and ran late models for two years. Moved to North Carolina and raced in the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series. I raced a few more years, then the sponsorship fizzled out, and I started a family.” Haller said.
With racing behind him, Haller began the next step in his racing career.
“I started dropping off my resume to every team I could think of. Rick Ware Racing is where I got my first job as a mechanic. I moved up to trucks, then to cup, then back down to trucks.” Haller said.
In 2006, Haller worked for KHI, and that is where his current job of wrapping began.
“From 2006 to 2012, I was at KHI. The crew chief wanted to control who was wrapping the truck. Each week, a new crew came in to do it. I said I’d do it and taught myself how to.” Haller said.
That’s a Wrap was born at the crossroads in Haller’s career.
“KHI shut down in 2012, and I had a decision to make. I could stay in NASCAR as a mechanic or stay with the wrapping. I stayed with the wrapping and spoke with all the contacts I’d made in the sport.” Haller said.
From there, That’s a Wrap grew into what it is today.
“For the 2026 season, I’ll be wrapping the 47 for Hyak Motorsports, the 51 for Jeremy Clements Racing, the 9 for CR7 Motorsports, and many others,” Haller said.
In addition to his wrapping business, Haller also runs a successful TikTok channel.
“I love doing TikTok lives where I wrap diecasts that fans send me. It really rekindled my passion. I’ll have drivers on from time to time, and I give away prize packs every live. I go live every Monday and Wednesday, my TikTok is @scotthallaaa” Haller said.
