It’s no secret that Rick Hendrick is the founder of the Hendrick Automotive Group, a massive regional automotive dealership group based in North Carolina. The HAG has not only indirectly funded Hendrick Motorsports but also Hendrick Automotive Group’s online business, Hendrickcars.com, which has sponsored a wide range of race cars for years.
Hendrickcars.com is hosting a huge celebration for the 250th anniversary of the United States. Tuesday, Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrickcars.com introduced their ‘Four-Car Salute to America’ initiative.
Kicking off Memorial Day weekend for the Coca-Cola 600, Hendrickcars.com, in partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, Spire Motorsports, and JR Motorsports, will field four cars with matching patriotic paint schemes. The drivers will include Corey Day (Hendrick Motorsports OAPS), Kyle Busch (Spire Motorsports CTS), Rajah Caruth (JR Motorsports OAPS), Kyle Larson (Hendrick Motorsports NCS), and Chase Elliott (JR Motorsports OAPS).
These drivers will carry the patriotic colors over three of the most patriotic weekends of the year: Memorial Day, Naval Base Coronado, and the Fourth of July.
