The 2026 Coca-Cola 600 was far more somber than any of us could have ever expected earlier this week. Following the loss of NASCAR Legend Kyle Busch, we all entered the Coke 600 weekend not knowing what to expect. NASCAR and Prime both exceeded expectations with their heartfelt tributes to Kyle Busch and the Busch family.

The Coca-Cola 600 got off without a hitch, with Kyle Larson winning Stage 1. Stage 2 was dominated by Denny Hamlin, and Stage 3 saw a hard-charging Christopher Bell come from nearly 20 seconds back to win the stage with fresh tires. Sadly, just like the remainder of the races this weekend, the Coke 600 was not immune to weather, which hit about halfway through the fourth stage. A 2-tire call from the 7 team put Spire Motorsports driver Daniel Suarez up front. Daniel would hold off the likes of Larson, Hamlin, and Bell on the restarts to hold the lead as the rain finally claimed the track.

Daniel would take a bow as his former team owner, Kyle Busch, would do after each victory. The Coke 600 marked Daniel’s third career trip to Victory Lane in the NASCAR Cup Series.
