The Boys of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series got the chance to show who was fastest in pursuit of the first Pole Award on an active US Naval Base.
Five cars did not post a lap in OAPS qualifying for the San Diego Street Course this afternoon, including Jesse Love, Brandon Jones, and Jesse Iwuji. Love did not qualify due to a penalty for having the wrong-size lug on the car. He will start in the rear and be forced to do a drive-through penalty on lap 1.
Brent Crews gets his first career Pole award and will be followed by the Viking Motorsports pair of Retzlaff and Alfredo. We saw Corey Day with a bad lap that will start him in 31st position.
