Riley Herbst Out of the 35 at Daytona Following Last Weekend’s Incident, Burton to Fill In

Following Riley’s massive impact at New Hampshire, Riley woke up Saturday with lingering effects from the incident. Riley and the team announced Saturday afternoon that, in his best interest, he would step out of the No. 35 23XI Racing Camry for tonight’s Daytona Regular Season ender.

Riley will be replaced in the No. 35 Toyota by a previous Daytona Summer Race winner, Harrison Burton. This announcement comes with just under 5 hours before the race starts. Riley qualified the best of the four 23XI Racing cars in P.5. Harrison competed in last night’s O’Reilly Auto Parts race at Daytona, where he finished eighth.
