After the 2017 season, Hendrick Motorsports made a visual change to the last of their yellow-numbered race cars. Gone were the days of the iconic Neon Yellow numbers that adorned the No. 24 and ended with the No. 48 cars for years and blended with the rest of the team; white numbers took their place. Such an Iconic color in NASCAR only ever came back for throwbacks or special schemes. Well, fans, they’re back.
Hendrick Motorsports announced that after a 20-year hiatus, Neon Yellow numbers will return for all five Hendrick cars for the 2027 season. The brand recognition of the sport’s most successful team will return to Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Corey Day, Alex Bowman, and William Byron.
As a Gordon fan from way back to 1992, this is awesome to see!
