With 4 races left till the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season comes to a close, I thought I might make my early Final 4 predictions before the big race at Phoenix on November 4th.
Las Vegas: Austin Hill is gonna be looking to defend his win from the early spring race but I think it’s gonna go to the runner-up from that exact race: Justin Allgaier.
Allgaier is going to dominate from the pole and capture the win at Las Vegas for his 4th win of the 2023 season and be the 1st lock himself into the Final 4.
Homestead Miami: Homestead is always a fun track to watch because it always leads to epic mid-race battles and crazy final restarts.
Who do I think is gonna win?
Call me crazy but I think Dale Earnhardt Jr will win the Contender Boats 250 at Homestead getting revenge from a late race fire that made Jr have to quit the race at Bristol finishing in 30th place after dominating the race at the end and leading 47 laps.
Martinsville: The famous paperclip is always an interesting race no matter what series it at the track and always provides a lot of action.
In the spring race here earlier in the year, John Hunter Nemechek won and literally burned his car to the ground.
But I don’t think the match is gonna strike twice.
I think Riley Herbst will be winding his grandfather clock after he wins the Dead On Tools 250 over his SHR teammate Cole Custer and 2024 SHR Cup Series driver Josh Berry.
You are probably saying: “Lyle that’s only 1 actual playoff winner you are nuts.”
I know. I think the Round of 8 Playoff races will be wild and be some of the best racing we’ve seen all year in the series.
That’s why I think only 1 actual playoff driver will actually win a RO8 playoff race with 2 other non-playoff winners.
Final 4 Predictions:
My NXS Final 4 predictions are as follow: Justin Allgaier, Sam Mayer, Cole Custer, and Sammy Smith.
I believe Nemechek will have bad races at Las Vegas and Martinsville which severely hurts his chances at contending for a championship.
That also means: Austin Hill, Sheldon Creed and Chandler Smith will all be out once the checkered flag drops on the final lap at Martinsville.
2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion:
My championship pick has been a long time veteran in the series and has always came up short at winning the title including last year after losing to now Joe Gibbs Racing Cup Driver: Ty Gibbs.
Your 2023 NXS Champion is going to be: Justin Allgaier
Allgaier has had a great run in the playoffs this year and I believe he’s going to finally take home a championship for himself and another title for Jr Motorsports, who haven’t won an NXS Championship since 2018 with Tyler Reddick.
