Thursday afternoon, SS-GreenLight Racing announced that Xfinity Series regular Patrick Emerling will take the reigns as the primary driver of their No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro in 2024. Emerling has previously competed in the Xfinity Series for Emerling-Gase Motorsports as well as Our Motorsports.

Crew chiefing for the 07 will be Paul Claprood, who worked with Patrick at Emerling-Gase Motorsports in 2023. The duo will field the 07 for about 20 races of the 2024 Xfinity Series Schedule.

SS-GreenLight Racing Owner Bobby Dotter stated, “We’re excited to have Patrick on board… He has impressed me and continues to improve every time he gets on the track. Patrick is a great racer, and his drive to compete week in and week out is going to fuel this team to new heights.”

“Working with Bobby is an incredible honor. Bobby’s experience and knowledge is an asset I’m very excited to have,” said Emerling. “I’m excited to get the season started down in Daytona. I’m looking forward to gaining more experience through the year.”

Patrick will also compete full-time in the Whelen Modified Tour for car owner Rich Gautreau.

With the move from Emerling-Gase to SS-GreenLight, although it has not been announced. It is safe to assume a split between Patrick Emerling and Joey Gase. News of what will come of Emerling-Gase Motorsports will come soon.
