Chris Hacker hospitalized following car crash Wednesday Afternoon

Part-time NASCAR Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series driver was involved in a “serious” car accident yesterday afternoon and has since been hospitalized and in stable condition.

The 24-year-old from Noblesville, Indiana, was en route to Daytona International Speedway for this weekend’s festivities despite not taking part in any on-track action.

According to a statement made on his social media, Hacker has been transported to Prisma Health Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina, where he underwent surgery. Hacker is said to be in good spirits and is expected to make a full recovery.
