Brad Keselowski Breaks 110 Race Winless Streak at Darlington

Rochester Hills, Michigan native Brad Keselowski will undoubtedly become a Hall of Famer one day. Nationwide Champion, Cup Champion, 76 combined wins, revitalized Roush, owner/winner, and so many more accomplishments keep him a lock.

Sunday afternoon, Brad Keselowski became the first driver/owner since Hall of Fame driver Tony Stewart to win a NASCAR Cup Series race. However, Brad now has a few races to go to catch Tony’s 15 wins as an owner/driver. Since Brad joined up with sports mogul John W. Henry and the “Cat in the Hat” Jack Roush and created RFK Racing, RFK went from a winless organization 2017 to 2021 and put the team back on the map, sweeping the Duels at Daytona in 2022 and putting Chris Buescher in Victory Lane at the Bristol night race that year as well. In 2023, both the 6 & 17 teams saw successes as both teams made the Playoffs, and Buescher winning three races saw the team’s first multi-win season since 2017.

Brad saw his last points-paying victory at the 2021 Geico 500 at Talladega, making it a full three years and then some since his last win in the Cup Series, but boy, did he go get this one. Brad scored 57 of the possible 60 points for the afternoon. He led the second-most laps of the race at 37 and netted 17 Stage points.

Brad had clearly one of the strongest cars all afternoon, with the best average running position of the race at 2.60. Brad fought 23XI’s Tyler Reddick for the lead late before the duo bounced off the Turn 4 wall, allowing teammate Chris Buescher to take the lead. Buescher and Reddick would have a fantastic race until just a few laps to go. That duo as well would bounce off the wall. Following the contact, both Reddick and Buescher cut tires, allowing Brad, in third, to pounce and take advantage to score his 36th career victory and celebrate with his iconic American Flag burnout we have all missed!
