Ryan Vargas Scores First Podium in EuroNASCAR

Ryan Vargas has been making a name for himself across all forms in NASCAR. Best of all, he’s doing so on two continents in EuroNASCAR! From behind the scenes and behind the wheel, the 23-year old California native is making a name for himself.

In 2022, we reported on Vargas working with up and coming racer Christopher Tate at that year’s South Carolina 250. That opportunity led to Vargas announcing he would be teaming up with the German owned 3F Racing. Vargas became the Director of Team and Driver Development for 3F as well as a racer for the team. In 2023, he would also travel to Germany to make his EuroNASCAR debut for 3F Racing. During his debut weekend, he would score two 10th place finishes for the team.

In 2024, Vargas made the announcement that he would run full-time in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 3F Racing’s No. 30 entry. With multiple solid runs so far, Vargas is proving to be more and more competitive in the series. At the second race at Brands Hatch in jolly old England, Vargas scored his first top-10 of the season, but that wasn’t the icing on the cake.

As the EuroSeries entered the Netherlands this weekend. The series runs the only oval weekend on the schedule and Vargas put his American NASCAR experience on full display. Ryan Vargas scored his first career overall podium finish. Vargas finished P3 after a hard fought battle for second. As the fastest car on track late in the race, Vargas just couldn’t make the pass in time. He stated that the track being single groove got in his way, but it was nothing to hang his head on.

Vargas’s effort payed off in the standings as he now sits just 61 points outside of first in the top 10. The second round of the race weekend is scheduled for tomorrow June 30th where Vargas will look to improve on his podium finish and score his first career victory.
