Oliver (Ollie) Bearman Signs With Haas F1 on a Multi Year Deal

The worst-kept rumor in Formula One is finally official, Oliver Bearman has signed with Haas on a multi-year deal. The 19-year-old British driver will take over for Nico Hulkenberg who has left for Audi.

Bareman proved he has what it takes to be a Formula One driver after a phenomenal performance in Saudi Arabia for Ferrari. Bearman also has been impressive with Haas in the FP1 sessions that he has been a part of. While practicing for Haas, he is usually not far off his teammate. In some instances, he’s faster.

This move is beneficial for both Haas F1 and Bearman himself. Bearman hopes to get to Ferrari and this is a great first step. For Haas, this gives them a young driver to grow and develop with the team. This is something that they’ve been lacking and it’s something that they desperately need to move forward. He will most likely be paired with a mentor veteran driver. I do not believe that this will be Kevin Magnussen, he hasn’t been having a great year.

With what Bareman has shown in Formula One, he should be a formidable opponent to whoever Haas signs to be his teammate.
