Corey Heim was unstoppable yet again in Pocono, leading 55 of 70 laps en route to his series leading 5th Win of the season

Most Recent Winner at Indianapolis Raceway Park

Ty Majeski picked up his lone win a year ago at IRP and in dominating fashion at that, leading 179/200 Laps and winning by 3.422 Seconds.

Names To Watch

Johnny Sauter: The 2016 Series Champion returns, this time with Hattori Racing, as they have scaled down to a part time schedule. Sauter is a 24-Time Winner in the Craftsman Truck Series and has made 529 Starts across the Top-3 Series of NASCAR competition.

Ross Chastain: Chastain makes his final start of the season for Niece Motorsports Friday Night at IRP. Chastain also made his NASCAR debut at IRP back in 2011. He dragged an average performing truck, owned by Stacy Compton, to a remarkable finish of 10th.

My Pick To Win: Grant Enfinger

Cole Custer used his fresh tire advantage to out duel Justin Allgaier to get himself and Ford their first win of the Xfinity Series season. But now the series returns to the Oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time since 2019.

Most Recent Winner at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Ty Gibbs won last season at Indy but that was on the Road Course. It was actually Kyle Busch who last won of the Oval at Indianapolis in the Xfinity Series.

Names To Watch

Justin Allgaier: Allgaier has had a very strong season, despite several mishaps early on and only having one win. That of which came at Darlington Raceway. In his 4 starts at Indianapolis with his current team; JR Motorsports, Allgaier has 3 Top 5’s. Including a Win, in 2018, and a runner-up finish to Kyle Busch the following year.

Conor Daly: The pride and joy of Noblesville, Indiana is back in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Daly has a big weekend ahead of him. He will be competing in the Craftsman Truck Series Race at IRP on Friday Night for Niece Motorsports. He’ll then follow it up with an Xfinity Series race on the Oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Friday will be Daly’s 4th Truck Series Start and Saturday will be his 3rd Xfinity Series Start.

Shane van Gisbergen: World-Class Driver, meet World-Class Racetrack. Shane van Gisbergen has obviously raced on the Road Course at Indy before, in his second Cup Start last Summer. But the Oval is an entirely different beast. van Gisbergen has cemented his status as one of the best drivers in the world this season but now his journey in learning Ovals heads to the most famous Oval of all.

My Pick To Win: Brandon Jones

Brickyard 400

Sunday, July 21 @ 2:30PM EST

Speedway, Indiana

160 Laps/400 Miles

Driver of the #12, Ryan Blaney, captured his 12th career win on Sunday Afternoon, leading 44 laps and holding off Alex Bowman and Denny Hamlin en route to his second win at “The Tricky Triangle”.

Most Recent Winner at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

It has been 4 Years since the Cup Series has been on the Oval at Indy, but after 3 visits to the Road Course, the Brickyard 400 is back. Michael McDowell won Last Summer on the Road Course, but it was Kevin Harvick who last won on the Oval in 2020.

Names To Watch

Kyle Larson: Larson makes his return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway after a disappointing Indianapolis 500 debut in May. In that race, Larson started 5th and ran well all day until a speeding penalty cost him. He wound up finishing 18th. Later in the evening the Coke 600 was well underway in Charlotte. Justin Allgaier started Larson’s #5 HendrickCars.com Camaro and Larson was slated to get in once he arrived. But in a dramatically unfortunate stroke of luck, the weather arrived at the very same minute as Larson and the raced called. Larson now returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway looking for some form of redemption.

My Pick To Win: Alex Bowman
