Honeycutt Holds Off Hard Charging Stephen Nasse to Win Snowball Derby

Willow Park, Texas native Kaden Honeycutt put the icing on the cake of what has been a great year for the 21-Year Old, a year that has included a CARS Tour Pro Late Model Title and a career year in a part-time Truck Series effort with Niece Motorsports. Honeycutt fought off reigning NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion and defending Snowball Derby Champion Ty Majeski on the race’s final restart.

Honeycutt managed to scoot away from the field and attention turned to Stephen Nasse, as the Florida native continued his charge through the field after starting in 30th. Nasse cleared Majeski and began to reel in Honeycutt before making a last ditch effort in the final corner and coming just inches short of Honeycutt’s bumper.

It is Honeycutt’s first win in the historic race that was celebrating its 57th Edition this year. Honeycutt is also the fourth driver in a row to win the Derby from the Outside Pole.
