JR Motorsports to Enter Justin Allgaier into the 2025 Daytona 500

The reigning Xfinity Series Champion and team owner will field a car in the 2025 Daytona 500. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will team up with 10-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton and his Buffalo Trace Distillery to field a JR Motorsports Chevrolet ZL1 for the 67th running of the Great American Race.

Justin Allgaier hopes his Thursday night will go as smooth as Tennessee whiskey as he will field the No. 40 Traveller Whiskey JR Motorsports Chevrolet as an Open entry for the Duels at Daytona in effort to qualify for the Great American Race. Atop the pit box will be Greg Ives, who has a long history with Jr and Hendrick. The car will be focusing on qualifying in on speed over the Duels using Hendrick Motorsports power.

Stapleton who has a friendship with Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick approached Rick about a NASCAR collaboration. Rick, who has an ownership stake in JRM, put Chris in touch with Dale Earnhardt Jr. Stapleton eluded that a lot of his audience for both whiskey and country music is here in motor racing and Dale Earnhardt Jr. has always dreamed of entering the Daytona 500 as an owner.

With Charters hovering in the tens of millions of dollar price range, JRM has no full-time plans nor have there been conversations of fielding a JRM Cup car in any other races in 2025.
