Rico takes High Limit title; Brad Sweet steps away from full-time sprint car racing; Spencer Bayston returns to WoO;

Five-time World of Outlaws Champion and 2024 Kubota High Limit Racing champion Brad Sweet announced his departure from full-time sprint car racing at this weekend’s Kubota High Limit awards show. The 39-year-old, who owns 106 victories between World of Outlaws and High Limit competition, hopes to dedicate more time to running his business ventures, which include the Kubota High Limit Series and Silver Dollar Speedway, while also spending more time with his family. We wish Brad the absolute best as he moves forward.

Rico holds off Sweet, takes High Limit title

Rico Abreu went into Texas for the All-in Championship Weekend with a 28-point lead over six-time 410 national champion Brad Sweet in the standings. Rico went to work and left little to chance, winning both nights and taking the title by 49 points over Sweet. The championship is Rico’s first national sprint car championship and seems like a perfect way to end his time in the family car he’s raced for years. Next year, he joins Tony Stewart Racing, who moves over from the World of Outlaws to take a swing at a High Limit title themselves.

Spencer Bayston returns to WoO

2022 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year Spencer Bayston is returning to the World of Outlaws in 2026 to drive the #17 for Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing. Bayston has spent the last two seasons in the Kubota High Limit series but parted ways with his Jason Meyers Racing team a few months ago. This pairing should be interesting to watch in 2026, as Bayston has bounced around a bit the last few years. He’s shown the promise that many have expected from him, but has also struggled to find consistency.
