Bubba Wallace Had a Better 2025 Than You Realize

Bubba Wallace had a 2025 season to remember. Although it may not have been reflected in the points, a deeper analysis reveals that he had one of the better seasons in NASCAR. The only blemish is eight DNFs with one race remaining. He will finish the season with either a 22% or 25% DNF rate.

Wallace is tied for 10th in top-five finishes with six, the same as Round of 8 driver Joey Logano. He is tied for 10th in top 10 finishes with 14. The total is higher than Logano, who has 12.

He was better in qualifying than the Round of 8 driver, Chase Elliott. Wallace has an average start of 15.2, while Elliott is at 16.1.

Wallace also has a win this season, better than the previous two-time champion Kyle Busch, and that puts him alongside three-time champion Joey Logano, Ross Chastain, and others. That win is also something his 23XI Racing teammate, Tyler Reddick, doesn’t have in 2025. The same Tyler Reddick that his haters love to compare him to.

Christopher Bell just missed out on the Final Four. Wallace has led more laps than Bell this season. Wallace ranks 8th in laps led with 378, Bell sits at 282.

With 8 DNFs, Wallace still ranks 15th in average finish. A testament to how well he ran this season.

It can not be denied that Wallace had a solid 2025. So far, it’s the best of his career and was better than you realize.
