Tyler Reddick Wins the 2026 Daytona 500 in Time for Michael Jordan’s Birthday

Tyler Reddick can thank teammate Riley Herbst for one hell of a push to score 223XI Racing’s first-ever Daytona 500 victory!

Tyler Reddick sure made up for his winless 2025 season with a push from his 23XI Racing teammate coming out of Turn 4 on the last lap of the 68th running of the Daytona 500. Reddick was pushed around the Cup Series most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott, exiting Turn 4 to get out front just enough to win the biggest race in NASCAR.

After starting 26th, the 2026 Daytona 500 marks Reddick’s ninth career Cup Series victory. This comes after a hard 2025, not only for Tyler on the track but also at home with medical issues for his son, Rookie, and a lawsuit between his race team and NASCAR.

The entire final lap of the 2026 Daytona 500 was filled with chaos. First, just after taking the white flag, Carson Hocevar was hit and pushed into the wall, making way for Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott to take the lead going into Turns 1 & 2. However, Elliott’s fantastic help from Zane Smith fell apart in turn 3 and left the pair fighting the field from behind.

Reddick had the momentum exiting Turn 4, but with the 35 of Hurdst coming back down to hook the 9 of Elliott after making contact with the 6 of Keselowski, Reddick was left un-interrupted to get the first win of 2026 and the first Daytona 500 for his young race team.

Tyler Reddick’s No. 45 Chumba Casino Toyota Camry is co-owned by NBA Hall of Famer and 6x NBA Champion Michael Jordan. Jordan now adds Daytona 500 Champion winning team owner to his massive resume in sports that ranges from Golf, basketball, baseball, and now motorsports. The Daytona 500 is just two days away, on February 17th.
