“We’re building this one race, one partner and one relationship at a time – together” – Bobby Peters, Marketing Director of Clubb Racing Inc.
When the ARCA Menards Series takes the green at Iowa on Friday, Alex Clubb will make his 100th ARCA national series start. The stat is impressive. But a massive part of that feat is getting there financially. Clubb races for his family-owned team based out of Morris, Illinois. He funds the team using his small business and, of course, sponsorship.
Earlier in the 2026 season, Alex added Wauseon, Ohio native Bobby Peters to the CRI team for social media. Bobby would quickly gain the title of Marketing Director for the team. According to Bobby, his mission for the team is simple: “I focus on building sponsorships and partnerships, promoting the businesses that support our program, and continuing to grow the Clubb Racing brand.”

Bobby looks at sponsorship the right way; he feels that a partnership should be beneficial for everyone involved. “When a business joins Clubb Racing Inc., we don’t look at them as simply another logo on the race car. We want them to become a part of the Clubb Racing family.”
Bobby has helped bring sponsors such as Perrysburg Pipe, Ferroll Gas, Mann and Sons, Poe Automotive, and more to the Ford Fusions of Clubb Racing Inc. For the first time in the team’s history, they sold out sponsorship on the No. 03 car for the race at Toledo Speedway earlier this season.
In addition to marketing, Bobby is also Alex Clubb’s Public Relations Manager. Bobby works directly with Alex to promote him as a driver. He helps tell not only the story of CRI, but Alex Clubb’s story as well. He does so by creating media opportunities to give fans and potential partners a chance to know the man under the helmet.
About this part of his position at CRI, Bobby stated, “For me, those responsibilities go hand-in-hand. When Alex grows, Clubb Racing grows. When Clubb Racing grows, it creates more opportunities for the partners and businesses that believe in what we’re building… What makes Clubb Racing special is that, at its core, this is a grassroots, family-oriented race team. We don’t have an unlimited budget or dozens of people for each position.” Adding, “We’re regular people and families chasing a big dream. We work hard, we support one another, and we continue pushing forward together. There are long days, late nights, setbacks, and sacrifices that come with racing at this level, but there’s also a tremendous amount of pride when you see that race car roll onto the track knowing what it took from everyone to get it there.”

“I am extremely happy to have Bobby as part of our team. He sees firsthand the amount of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that everyone at Clubb Racing Inc. puts into this program, and he has matched that same effort every step of the way.
Bobby has busted his ass working behind the scenes to bring more sponsors and partners to the table than we have ever had before, and I am forever grateful for everything he continues to do for this team. Having him take the lead on the marketing and sponsorship side allows me to focus more on running the day-to-day operations, preparing our race cars, and doing everything we can to keep this team moving forward and getting better.
What makes it even more special is that we are doing this as a family-oriented, grassroots race team. Everyone involved believes in what we are building, and Bobby has become a big part of that.
We have a lot of really cool irons in the fire for the rest of 2026 and heading into 2027. There are some exciting opportunities developing behind the scenes, including one potentially big deal currently on the table. If everything comes together, it could be a major step forward for our entire program.
I’m extremely excited about where Clubb Racing Inc. is headed. We’ve worked hard to get to this point, and with the people and partners we have around us, I truly believe the sky is the limit going forward.”

Over the past couple of seasons, Alex Clubb has graciously helped me learn more and more about the ARCA Menards Series and what it takes to compete in that series. The addition of Bobby to the team has added another great person helping out the small yet consistent ARCA team that could. Bobby has joined Alex in answering any questions I have, showing me around the garage area, and introducing me to other drivers, crews, and owners. – Tom
