After two seasons with Haas Factory Team in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, Sam Mayer will be making the move back to Junior Motorsports for the 2027 season. Sam has raced for Haas since the 2025 season, when he made both the Playoffs and the Chase. However, he hasn’t had the success he was used to with JRM.

Sam made his part-time debut racing for Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Pocono in 2021 and made the Playoffs each season with the team. The eight-time winner scored seven of those victories racing for JRM and even made the final four in 2023. In 2025, Sam Mayer got his first, and so far only, victory for HFT at Iowa, but did score 13 top-5s before being suspended for the season-ending race at Phoenix.

This will be his sixth full-time season in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. For 2027, Sam will make his return to the No. JR Motorsports Chevrolet with support from Starkey Hearing. About his return to the team, Sam Mayer said, ” I’m really grateful to continue my career with the organization that gave me my start.”
