Cleetus McFarland to Compete for the 2027 ARCA Menards Series Championship

After making ten combined series starts over the last two seasons, Garrett Mitchell A.K.A Cleetus McFarland, will make his full-season debut in the ARCA Menards Series. Sources have confirmed to SFM that Garrett will compete in a car prepared by none other than Richard Childress Racing.

Cleetus will be joined by his good friend and fellow YouTube star, Squirrell McNut (George Siciliano), who will also compete for the title in 2027 with Rette Jones Racing, likely in their No. 30 entry.

The car number Cleetus will drive next year is unknown, as are the crew chief and sponsorship. RCR will likely purchase the now-shuttered Joe Gibbs Racing ARCA program. Doing so would bring in the owner’s points from the 18 team to the new RCR team, guaranteeing them a starting spot in the first three races of the 2027 ARCA season. The Cleetus team will have full Chevrolet manufacturer support.

Cleetus scored his first career Pole Award at Michigan last season, where he ran to a 14th-place finish. He made his presence known at Talladega, finishing runner-up. He signed a 2-year deal with RCR earlier in the 2026 season, he has made two starts in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in the team’s No. 33 Chevrolet, finishing 32nd and 35th. On top of his OAPS and ARCA starts, Cleetus also made three Craftsman Truck Series starts.

Cleetus stated at Talladega this weekend that we can expect an official announcement this week. Matt Weaver originally broke the story on Kenny Wallace’s YouTube channel.
