For the 11th time in his Cup Series career, Chase Briscoe is going to lead the field to green for tomorrow’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami. With a lap time of 166.687 mph, Briscoe beat out his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate and championship hopeful Denny Hamlin by only .017 seconds.

Chase points leader and championship favorite Kyle Larson will start P. 4, with the third championship hopeful, Christopher Bell, following just two spots back in P. 6. Larson holds a 67-point lead over Denny Hamlin coming into tomorrow’s race. Not to be dramatic, but he would essentially need to wreck out in the opening laps to give Denny or Christopher a true fighting chance.
