Chris Windom Finds New Home For 2024 Sprint Car Season

Sprint car standout Chris Windom has partnered with Vermeer Motorsports and NOS Energy Drink for the 2024 racing season. The Canton, Illinois native will pilot the No. 55 winged sprint car owned by Tony Vermeer out of Indianapolis.

“I’m really excited to have Chris join our Vermeer Motorsports team, as I believe he hasn’t yet come close to showing how good he can be in a winged sprint car,” said Vermeer. “He’s won at every level he’s competed in and is a USAC Triple Crown winner. Teaming him with one of the best young crew chiefs, Clinton Boyles, I think they will gel quickly.”

Windom finished second in the All Star Circuit of Champions standings last season, scoring 9 top fives and 22 top 10s. Vermeer Motorsports employed multiple drivers in 2023, finishing third in All Star owner points with 2 wins.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to team up with Vermeer Motorsports. I think we both have the same goals and mindset of what we want to accomplish in 2024,” Windom said. “I also have to thank NOS Energy Drink for their continued support of me with them coming on board.”

Clinton Boyles will return as Windom’s crew chief. “Chris is super talented and I’m really excited to see what challenges await us with him as our driver in 2024,” said Boyles.

With a potent new partnership and a proven winning team assembled, Windom and Vermeer Motorsports look primed to contend for sprint car glory when the 2024 season kicks off in February.
