CBS Developing Comedy Series Starring an F1 Principal

A workplace comedy series centered around Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner is in early development at CBS, according to Deadline.
Steiner will serve as a non-writing executive producer on the fictional single-camera show. The series will be set in the high-stakes world of sports, led by a character based on Steiner’s blunt, passionate leadership style.
Since being featured in Netflix’s ‘Drive to Survive’ docuseries, Steiner has become a household name and fan favorite. His no-nonsense approach and colorful language was put under the microscope thanks to behind-the-scenes footage.
“I’m not good at acting; I just do my job, and if they film it all, that’s fine,” Steiner told The Independent about his accidental fame. “It’s real. I think people like the honesty too.”
While plot details remain under wraps, expect a half-hour comedy capturing the stresses and triumphs of leading a Formula 1 outfit. Steiner has helmed the Haas F1 team since its inception in 2014, turning them into a passionate underdog outfit punching above its weight.
For both hardcore racing fans and sports comedy lovers, a series starring a boss cut from the Steiner mold promises entertainment both on and off the track.
