NASCAR Spring Bristol TV Numbers Breakdown

Kyle Larson laid down pure domination this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, leading 687 laps en route to winning both the Cup and Xfinity races. Friday night’s Bristol truck race was won by Chandler Smith in his first victory since moving back to the Craftsman Truck Series.

Craftsman Truck Series

  • Averaged 498,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1

Xfinity Series

  • Averaged 1.001 million viewers on The CW
  • +25% over 2024 (Texas)
  • Most watched Bristol race in total viewership since 2017
  • Peak audience at 1.227 million
  • First time since 2017, the Xfinity Series has averaged over 1 million viewers over the first 9 races of the season

Cup Series

  • Averaged 2.054 million viewers on FOX Sports 1
  • Down vs 2024 Bristol Spring race that averaged 3.809 million on FOX

Other Motorsports

  • IndyCar – 552,000 average viewers – + 80% over 2024
  • F1 – 1.277 million average viewers
  • NHRA – 418,000 average viewers
  • IMSA – 81,000 average viewers

The Masters

  • All other sports, including motorsports, absolutely lost out to the Masters tournament, which averaged 12.99 million viewers

  1. So with the Masters rating that high, are our numbers down purely because of that or has the product become that “un-entertaining?” Hmmmmmm….. I’ve never looked at the TV numbers before this season. Very interesting stuff! Thanks for posting!

    1. Un-entertaining? It’s called racing. The best car & or driver wins. It’s a shame we’ve gotten so spoiled with manufactured racing over the past decade or so that we are upset at the best winning races.
