Expect Homestead-Miami Speedway to Host NASCAR Title Races in 2026

Just a few weeks ago, Homestead-Miami Speedway made a bit of a mistake. They offered tickets for the 2026 race on their website. Now, of course, alone this is not a mistake. However, the dates told the truth. November 6-8, 2026.

According to sources from The Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi, Homestead will return to the last weekend of the NASCAR seasons again next season. Homestead last hosted Championship Weekend in 2019, with Kyle Busch securing not only his second Cup Series title but also Toyota’s third. In 2020, the Championship weekend relocated to Phoenix Raceway. Even under COVID-19 restrictions, it was still a fantastic experience. I was there and still to this day look back fondly on that experience.

Despite the spectacular venue, the racing at Phoenix Raceway has been… well… lackluster. Fans have been demanding for the last several years that the Championship return to Homesteam-Miami, among other venues mentioned. I am forced to agree.

According to Jordan Bianchi, Homestead will host the four title races in 2026, but another venue is on the bench for the 2027 championship. Despite moving in ’26, I look forward to seeing all of you at the 2025 Championship races in November!

  1. Homestead is an incredible place to finish the year and crown out champ. I still think, with this playoff system, the championship should consist of 3 races, though. And perhaps rotating venues will keep parody and competition at its highest level! I may be in the minority, there, but parody forces flawless performance and that’s what I want my champion to achieve!
