Glen Reen: the Underdog at Portland

Glen Reen was born to be a racecar driver. His parents were both drivers and met at a race track. Naturally, he started in quarter midgets at five years old. He’s raced everything with wheels. When he suffered injuries while racing dirt bikes, he switched to NASCAR modifieds in 2006.

Reen is a driver who does everything in-house. He built an ARCA car and engine in his garage. He finished fourth in his second ARCA start with that car.

His next start is in the Xfinity Series at Portland. He will be driving for Joey Gase Motorsports. Reen is in search of sponsors for the race weekend.

Reen is a business owner. He stressed the importance of return on investment when sponsoring a race team.

“Sponsorship is the key to a doorway. Let’s say you own a glass company and want to sell to a Ford dealership. Ford representatives are at every race. We introduce you to them. Now your windshields are being sold to Ford dealerships.” Reen said as he explained the opportunity that comes with sponsorship.

Sponsorship packages start at $1500. They include VIP passes to meet Glen Reen and all of the other Xfinity teams.

Reen stressed that business owners can sponsor at any race. If you’re interested in sponsoring for Portland or at a track near you, please contact Tim Leonard. Leonard runs Leonard Motorsports Marketing on Facebook and can be reached there.
